CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

:

• Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.
• Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges.
• Must have own tools, Micrometer up to 3”, Interapid indicator, dial indicator, 6” Vernier, Telescope gages, adjustable wrench, Allen wrench set Metric/standard, machinist Stone, indicating chair, edge finder.
• Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
• Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.
• Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience for the wage mentioned above
• Custom Fabrication experience a must.
• Knowledge of GD&T an asset.
