Wood is recruiting for an Offshore Production Operator – Adhoc to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working a 3-week on and off rotation.
The Role
- Location : Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador
- Site / Office based : Terra Nova FPSO
- Hours of work : 12 hours per day
- Rotation / work pattern : 3-week on and off rotation
- Required : Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing
- Unionized position : Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Technologist or Industry Certification (3rd or 4th class Marine Engineer, 4th class Stationary Engineer or 4th class Power Engineer or equivalent)Preferably 3-5 years related experience in the petrochemical industryWorking knowledge of process separation, gas compression, utility and power generation systemsWorking knowledge of Control of Work Processes and SystemsFamiliar with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP S4Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer)Ability and willingness to train / rotate through all operating units and CCRDemonstrated leadership and teamwork behaviorsFamiliar with quality processes and application of Continuous Improvement toolsAbility to understand and react with diverse groups and operations and work closely with other individuals in a remote settingAbility and willingness for on-the-job-training from Process Area 1 to Area 2 and Area 3 based on competency evaluation and documentationFor this position, the following training / certifications would be considered and asset :
