Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of the Segregated Funds' Financial Management (SFFM) team, the incumbent will play an important role in the daily valuation process. The SFFM team, within Group Retirement Services (GRS) Finance, is responsible for the daily valuation, accounting control, and financial reporting for over 500 Segregated Funds.
What will you do?
Contribute to the daily Fund valuations process by :
Pricing securities manually and through uploading of files
Running accounting jobs / journals and checking error logs for completion
Proactively identifying problems / issues quickly and efficiently
Communicating with external fund managers to resolve delays and any issues that may arise
What do you need to succeed?
Mutual and / or Segregated Fund accounting experience
Experience with savings and retirement products and / or Fund valuation is an asset
Proficiency with MS Office and PAM
Completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course or Canadian Securities Course preferred
Strong analytical, problem solving, and reconciliation skills; attention to detail and an aptitude for risk / process management
Notes / Unique Requirements :
This is a part-time opportunity with hours of work being 4 : 30-9 : 00 PM daily, for 4-5 days per week, but could extend beyond 9 : 00 PM due to unforeseen delays, so flexibility is required
