About the Opportunity

Booking and Registration Clerks for Same Day Surgery and Pre-Op Assessment are responsible for facilitating surgical related activities. Such activities include efficient utilization of clinic nursing / anaesthesia time. In addition, they are responsible for the coordination of registration and admission, booking patients and the required tests in preparation for surgery and coordination of clinic appointments and other tests.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Grade 12
  • One year related clerical experience, or successful completion of a recognized one year secretarial / office / business program
  • Booking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • PHS and STAR Registration preferred
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Data entry experience
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

A skills test will be required to complete selection

Hours

  • Permanent Part-time  / 30 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shifts may include some weekends.  .

    22.89 - $24.89 Hourly
