Job Description
Synapse Clinic, situated in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, is in search of a team-oriented and professional psychiatrist to become part of their team.
Synapse Clinic is an expanding outpatient psychiatric clinic with years of experience in delivering care to patients with a range of psychiatric conditions.
Synapse Clinic offers patients a variety of treatment options including; Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and psychotherapy delivered by an in-house psychologist.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Psychiatrists in the community to provide emergency on-call.
The provincial Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP) provides funds each year to be shared amongst providers in accordance with the program terms.
Emergency call coverage is shared equitably and collaboratively amongst providers to ensure continuous coverage to meet the needs of our patients.
Relocation Package
The successful candidate may be eligible for :
- The Incentive which provides up to $200,000 over 5 years
- The , which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.
- The , which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000

Job Qualifications
- Certification with the or have a valid letter of eligibility (Not required if eligible for Ministerial License with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan)
- Licensure with the or be eligible for
- A valid drivers license
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
- Minimum of 3 acceptable references
- An acceptable criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
- Experience providing Generalist Psychiatry services within a catchment model
- Demonstrable evidence in multidisciplinary approach of care / management
- Understanding of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations of commitment and release of the mentally ill under the Mental Health Services Act would be an asset
- In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
