Responsibilities for bilingual CBSA Security Guard
Protect individuals, property, and assets within a CBSA facility
Escort detainees safely within the premises using restraints when required
Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and compassion when working with individuals under stress
Observe, monitor, and document detainee behaviour, escalating concerns as needed
Conduct regular indoor and outdoor foot patrols
Perform frequent wellness and safety checks
Utilize security systems, software, and equipment effectively
Respond quickly to emergencies using tactical communication and de-escalation techniques
Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports
Qualifications for tactical Security Guard
A valid Ontario security guard license (Required)
• A valid and current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider (Required)
• Canadian citizenship or 5-years permanent residence status (Required)
Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) Required
• Minimum high school diploma from a recognized Canadian educational institution, or post-secondary education, or an internationally recognized credential supported by WES equivalency. (Required)
• Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check (Required)
• Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity.
• 1 year experience working with vulnerable sector.
• 1 year tactical security guard experience (Required)
• Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
• Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations.
• Understanding of the importance of conciseness, security, and safety
