Responsibilities
- Assist the CFO in the development of the financial strategy and long-term planning.
- Oversee and coordinate accounting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, management of accounting books, and monthly closing.
- Analyze the company's financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, as well as the quarterly financial forecasts.
- Supervise internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in force.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors and other external stakeholders.
- Implement and optimize financial processes and internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Participate in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, financing initiatives, and cost-cutting programs.
- Train and coach the finance team to develop their skills and improve the team's performance.
Qualifications
- CPA, a major asset
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to take initiative
- Bilingual environment
- Strong work ethic and great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel
