Finishing Painter

At Merit Kitchens, the Finisher plays a vital role in ensuring that all cabinet parts are finished to a consistently high quality within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include identifying and discarding defective products, performing all work in a safe manner, and cleaning and maintaining painting and coating equipment, ventilation systems, compressed air tools, and personal protective equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Preparation : Sanding, cleaning, and preparing cabinet surfaces for finishing to ensure consistent and even application of coatings.
• Application of finishes : Applying stains, lacquers, paints, glazes, and sealers using air-assist spray guns.
• Equipment operation : Setting up and operating finishing machines, such as spray guns and spray pumps, as well as using power tools like orbital sanders.
• Quality control : Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Work area management : Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company policies and safety guidelines.
