Nanny

We’re a warm, outdoors-loving family seeking a caring and capable nanny / house manager for our two boys (6 months and 3 years). This role can be part-time or full-time, and we’re open to both live-in or live-out arrangements for the right person to join us. (As a mom, I want to continue to play an active and lead role with the children, but would like support with upkeeping other areas of the home as well).

Our home is rooted in love, adventure, and strong character. We value time outside, pursuing our goals, and for the kids : meaningful play, and creating a safe place for them to learn and grow. We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for child development and education — someone who understands early childhood as a formative season and delights in nurturing curiosity, resilience, and creativity. The right fit will also be someone with strong project management skills, the ability to balance schedules and oversee multiple tasks at once and take initiative to keep the home feeling warm, welcoming and productive.

We live in a vibrant community with plenty happening locally and abundant outdoor activities right at our doorstep. Our spacious family home is 25 minutes from the nearest cities (Barrie and Orillia) — offering the best of both connection / amenities and space / fresh air. If the arrangement is live-out, we'd like to develop a predictable, repetative weekly schedule that both sides can rely on, with occasional changes only as it works for us both.

The role includes :

• overseeing the household daily / weekly flow, light house keeping, meal planning and prep
• childcare : supervision and planning rich, creative, opportunities for learning
• supporting (not necessarily leading) our homeschool rhythm as the boys grow up
• the opportunity to travel / vacation with us if the timing works and it interests you

We’re hoping to find someone who is nurturing, proactive, playful, and grounded — a steady presence who sees this as meaningful work. I (mom) was a nanny in my 20s and we have a beautiful vision of our nanny feeling like family to us. Compensation will be in the range of $18–$22 / hour, depending on experience, and whether the position includes room and board. If live-in works, we have a spacious bedroom with full private bathroom for you.
