CNC programmer

Job Title: CNC Programmer - (Siemens NX)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with Siemens NX expertise to support machining operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves analyzing technical drawings, developing CNC programs, supporting production teams, and improving machining processes to ensure efficient and high-quality part manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze part designs, technical drawings, and process plans to determine machining and tooling requirements.

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX for 2-axis to 5-axis machining.

• Create cutting tool layouts and support tool proving and program validation.

• Provide technical support to machine operators during setup and production.

• Investigate manufacturing issues and implement program or tooling improvements.

• Review and approve drawings from external suppliers.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

• Ensure programming documentation and technical instructions are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications & Requirements

• College diploma or certificate in CNC Programming, Machining, or Mechanical Technology.

• 5–10 years of experience in CNC programming or aerospace machining.

• Strong experience with Siemens NX (2-axis to 5-axis programming).

• Experience with Vericut is an asset.

• Provincial Certificate of Qualification (General Machinist) is an asset.

• Strong technical documentation and report-writing skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and review work of other programmers.

• CAM drafting skills are required.
