About the Role

We are seeking for an Event Planner Intern to join our AI Venture Lab initiative. This role will focus on organizing events and networking opportunities to engage investors and key stakeholders, supporting our mission to establish a dynamic AI incubator in Etobicoke. You'll work closely with senior leaders, gaining firsthand experience in the rapidly evolving AI startup landscape.

About the Placement

We have a scheduled ongoing placement immediately and an ongoing bi-weekly placement. We are screening candidates for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 to align with academic internship schedules. Your placement can be either full-time or part-time but must be a minimum of 520 hours to complete our program. We allow flexibility to avoid any conflicts with academic responsibilities. Please outline your ideal placement date or term and any constraints you may have.

What You'll Do

• Event Planning: Organize and coordinate investment-related events, from logistics to scheduling and participant engagement, in alignment with our strategic goals.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate interactions with investors, partners, and team members, ensuring a collaborative environment that supports the AI Venture Lab's growth.
• Market Research: Perform research to inform event themes, content, and strategy, connecting our initiatives with industry trends and business objectives.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Develop event reports and presentations with the team, showcasing outcomes and providing insights to stakeholders.
• Professional Development: Stay current with trends in event planning, investment, and AI technology, enhancing both your skills and NovaForge's competitive edge.

About You

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or completed a Master's in business, event management, hospitality or related fields.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest or academic background in event planning, stakeholder engagement, hospitality or related fields.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills to coordinate events smoothly.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with an ability to connect effectively with diverse audiences.
• Passion for AI & Business: Enthusiasm for the intersections of technology, finance, and event planning.

Duration and Compensation

This is a full-time & part-time, paid internship with flexibility for your placement options and starting dates. Location or academic constraints should not deter you from applying. The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

2. Written Questionnaire: Selected candidates will receive a set of 10 written questions to assess their fit and technical knowledge.
3. Video Questionnaire: Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit. The ability to video record your answers will be required.
4. Evaluation: Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
5. Orientation Session: Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about NovaForge, our projects, and what to expect during the internship. After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you believe that this internship is for you.
