Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Rotating Equipment Specialist to join their Reliability and Execution Team

Minimum Requirements :

Red Seal certified Millwright, Mechanical Technologist or Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably in an offshore oil and gas environment
Experienced with turbines, compressors, pump systems, and other industrial / rotating equipment - especially in industrial or power applications
Other recognized certifications in condition monitoring techniques, such as Machinery Lubrication Analyst, Infrared Analysis, and / or Ultrasonic. Knowledge of “Motion amplification” would be an asset
Knowledgeable in industry codes and practices such as API and ANSI
Expert in laser alignment techniques including train alignments with thermal growth
User experience with SAP is a benefit
Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the mechanical and marine discipline – Focused on rotating equipment
Demonstrates technical knowledge around maintenance and repair for all types of rotating equipment (Compressors, pumps, gearboxes, turbines etc.)
Demonstrates knowledge of monitoring system standards, e.g., API670
Category I or II Vibration Analysis Certification
Familiarity in Computational Systems Inc (CSI), 2120 Data Collector
Expertise in process technology, experience in operations
Knowledge of monitoring systems, i.e., Bentley systems, etc. (System 1)

Responsibilities :

Recommending and advocating solutions to chronic rotating equipment problems and continuously improving the rotating equipment PM / PD program.

Champion the implementation of reliability best practices and will evaluate new technology and new ideas to improve reliability.

Work in collaboration with the reliability, maintenance and operations teams to identify fixed equipment reliability improvement opportunities

Provides support for Operations and Maintenance groups by predicting the scope of equipment problems and the most efficient path forward to increase long-term reliability

Collects and charts historical data on equipment reliability and sends notifications to initiate the repair process

Drives reliability results by predicting equipment care needs, repair schedules, and Turnaround scope

Works with CFT to mitigate, problem-solve, and plan for interim fixes for alternative solutions according to business needs.

Provides technical resources to the operating facility and provides both strategic and tactical advice on rotating equipment reliability.

Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Provide technical support to field teams during installation and maintenance activities.

Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors.

Provide oversight at times for installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors and turbines

Perform or support troubleshooting and failure analysis of mechanical and rotating equipment

Implementing and optimizing asset integrity-reliability processes to enhance production reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Identifying and mitigating equipment threats, developing solutions, and supporting execution, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigations.

Analyzing CBM data, recommending performance improvements, and supporting preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Leading or supporting equipment health monitoring projects, optimizing maintenance strategies, and reducing lifecycle costs and downtime.

Providing technical assurance, supporting rotating equipment-related outages, ensuring repair integrity, and updating installation guidelines (API-686).
