Business Process Consultant, Remote work
On behalf of our public sector client we are seeking a Business Process Consultant to support a 5-month contract. Must hold Secret level of Security Clearance.
Our Client's Security Services division has a mandate to oversee and manage its corporate security program. As part of improving the administration regarding the program, they require the services of a Senior Business Process Consultant to document, update, assess and recommend improvements to existing security processes for its financial systems.
Job Details
- Review, analyze, define and document several disparate processes, in order to :
- Establish a baseline for consistency of processes
- Implement a repository for visibility of processes
- Improve integration of the contract security (i.e. Security Services, Cyber Security and Procurement & Contracting) function, and clearly outline the process and interconnectivity between key stakeholders
- Document and define roles and responsibilities between the contract security function groups
- In consultation with all key stakeholders, review and analyze the existing end to end security processes (manual and automated) in order to identify opportunities for process improvements.
This analysis would also include how the contract security function is organized at our Client's facility, the type of work it undertakes (including outputs / deliverables) to deliver on these processes.
The interrelationships within the contract security function is also important (e.g., clarify responsibilities, opportunities for synergies, potential gaps)
- Assess the utility of existing tools / data used in the security process to identify any weaknesses or gaps and recommend solutions
- Benchmark current business processes against similar organizations to inform the analysis and assess potential areas for improvement
- Analyze business functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows
- Map existing processes and develop / map new processes and recommended changes, including an assessment of potential impacts on the security function.
Each process deliverable must contain the following :
- A specification of the purpose of each process
- Visio diagram outlining each step
- General analysis of the business environment
- Recommendations regarding possible improvements to the process and rationale
- A description of the activities inherent to the process
- List of affected stakeholders
- A specification of the responsibilities of those involved with service delivery
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies and service improvement where internal controls should be improved
- Develop communication for internal / external stakeholders on the upcoming changes to the contract security function
- As required, provide advice on and assist in implementing new processes
