About the Role

Stratas Group is hiring a Junior Small Engines Technician to support diesel and power equipment repair, maintenance, and diagnostic work. This is an ideal role for someone early in their mechanical career who wants long-term stability, hands-on learning, and clear growth pathways.

You’ll work closely with an experienced lead mechanic (Robert) who values curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to learn.

What You’ll Work On

General diagnostics on small engines & diesel equipment

Tear-downs, repairs, rebuilds, and part replacements

Routine service inspections

Keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe

Assisting senior techs as needed

Learning new equipment platforms and repair techniques

Work Hours

Full-time, Monday–Friday

7 : 00 AM–3 : 30 PM (some flexibility)

Compensation

$21 / hr advertised wage

$20 / hr start rate

Guaranteed raise to $22 / hr after 400 hours worked

Conversion bonus upon permanent hire
