Summer Student - Child Care Centres
The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently recruiting students for summer employment for 2026 in our Directly Operated Early Learning and Child Care Centres.

The shifts will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 6 : 30 am and 6 : 00 pm. Most positions are available from the beginning of May through to the end of August.

Conditions of Employment
All applicants are expected to comply with the Region of Durham's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies throughout the recruitment process. Prior to the start date, the successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within two (2) months from date of hire. Additionally, tuberculosis screening and proof of immunization will be required in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) Ontario Regulation 137 / 15. Proof of education, qualifications and any other bona fide job requirements will also be collected.
