Responsibilities
Responsible for providing advanced support in preparing and managing legal documents and transactions within the Business Law department.
Prepare and process legal documents for incorporations, amendments, dissolutions, and mergers.
Assist the legal team in supporting various business law practices, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and commercial transactions.
Drafting resolutions and agreements and managing transactional documents.
Assist with filings with regulatory bodies, i.e. corporate registries and government agencies.
Supporting the firm and client compliance standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to support transaction workflows and address client needs efficiently.
Maintain and track corporate records and the transaction progress.
Requirements
Post-secondary education (Law Clerk diploma, Paralegal Studies, Legal diploma or related field. Business Administration is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a law clerk or paralegal in a corporate and commercial legal environment.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulatory filing requirements.
Proficiency in legal technology and document management systems.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
