Senior Unix Administrator

Job Description : Compulsory Skills :

• HPUX / AIXRHEL and / or CentOS system administration.
• LVM and DM-Multipath.
• YUM / DNF / RPM package management.
• User / Group management.
• Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• TCP / IP terminology and concepts.
• Network Configuration with NetworkManager.
• Network Services such as SSH, FTP, SMTP.
• Network Troubleshooting with tools such as tcpdump, ping, nmap, traceroute and netcat.
• Experience with SAN and NAS storage.
• Network Authentication and Authorization tools such as LDAP or Centrify / AD.
• Creating, maintaining and debugging scripts in BASH, Perl, or Python.
• Veritas InfoScale Enterprise including VxVM, VxFS and VCS.
• Experience working in a DevOps / Agile environment.
• Adhering to change and incident management.
• Legacy UNIX flavors such as Solaris, HPUX or AIX.
• Virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
• Kubernetes frameworks such as Red Hat OpenShift or VMware Tanzu.
• Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Backup products such as Actifio or IBM SpectrumProtect (formerly TSM).
• Disaster Recovery using products such as VMware SRM or Veritas Resiliency Platform.
• Automation frameworks such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack or Terraform.
