Data Platform Developer – Fleetworthy (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). Salary : CA$83,000.00 – CA$153,000.00. Remote, hybrid where applicable.

About the Role

As an Intermediate Data Platform Developer you will build and operate our modern data platform that enables a Data Mesh architecture. Your focus is on creating and improving tools for deployment and automation, empowering value‑stream teams to deliver high‑quality data products. This hybrid role combines data engineering with infrastructure and DevOps practices; you’ll design pipelines, automate platform components, and support teams in applying best practices in a geographically distributed, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platform tools for deployment and automation of data products.
• Partner with value‑stream teams to adopt Data Mesh principles, enabling them to own and scale their data products.
• Design and optimize ingestion and transformation pipelines and jobs using SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Apply infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform) to automate platform provisioning.
• Contribute to and improve CI / CD workflows for data pipelines and platform services.
• Ensure the data platform is reliable, efficient, and scalable.
• Collaborate across the distributed team to continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and cost‑effectiveness.
