Mechanic Heavy Duty

Our Ayr location is a fast paced, team orientated atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers. This position requires a hard-working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team-oriented environment. The successful candidates will be able to provide excellent customer relations, possess strong teamwork ethics, as well as having strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Previous experience with rental equipment or a strong background in a related field would be an asset. Key Responsibilities :

Maintain a clean and organized work station;

• Troubleshoot and estimate costs of repairs;
• Verify and inspect rental equipment to ensure proper functioning and to detect faults and avoid malfunctions;
• Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools;
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure manufacturers' specifications compliance;
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on equipment;
• Service attachments and working tools;
• Order parts as needed;

Key Qualifications :

An experienced technician, or 2nd / 3rd year apprentice with the ability to diagnose, perform failure analysis, and repair of Large booms, Scissors, and Telehandlers;

Existing knowledge of Aerial and Material Handling Electrical and Hydraulic and Powertrain systems;

Hands on experience in the repair and service / maintenance requirements for various types of booms, scissors and telehandler type equipment;

Additional Qualifications and Skills :

Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently;

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Genie, Cat, JLG, MEC, Snorkel and Skyjack Equipment;

Apprentices are encouraged to apply;

Your own tools are required.
