UX Designer

On behalf of our client, Affinity is looking for a UX Designer. You will play a critical role in defining how users discover, interact with, and enjoy our platform. You will lead the creation of intuitive, high‑impact experiences that make complex technology feel effortless—working closely with product, engineering, and design stakeholders to shape the future of consumer gaming. This is a hands‑on role ideal for a designer who combines creative excellence with strong product thinking and a passion for building elegant solutions in fast‑moving, technically innovative environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX and UI design for our global consumer platform, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across web and mobile.
• Translate complex product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI designs.
• Develop and refine user journeys for a D2C audience, including onboarding, discovery, personalization, and gameplay experiences.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate assumptions and improve product decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Head of Product and Engineers to align design solutions with business goals, technical realities, and performance constraints.
• Establish and promote best‑in‑class UX practices, helping coach and elevate teammates as needed.
• Build and evolve a scalable design system, ensuring visual consistency and efficiency across the product.
• Contribute to product and UX strategy by bringing a strong point of view informed by user insights, data, and industry best practices.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and customer‑centric thinking across the product organization.
• Contribute to special initiatives and strategic programs as directed by executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX and UI design, with a strong track record in consumer‑facing (D2C) digital products.
• Proven experience designing gaming UX, interactive entertainment interfaces, or deeply engaging real‑time user experiences.
• Expertise in onboarding, personalization, engagement, and retention flows, with a deep understanding of user lifecycle design.
• Experience working on real‑time, high‑performance applications, ideally with complex state, fast interactions, or streaming‑based systems.
• Strong background in B2C growth including activation, engagement funnels, behavioral nudges, and conversion optimization.
• Hands‑on experience conducting user research, prototyping, and usability testing to drive informed product decisions.
• High proficiency in Figma and modern UX/UI design workflows.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Engineers in fast‑paced technical environments.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, able to influence decisions across teams.

Nice to Have

• Strong, balanced expertise across both visual design and UX, with a portfolio demonstrating polished interfaces and deep user‑centered problem solving.
• Experience in industries such as gaming, streaming, and consumer applications, especially those involving high user engagement and real‑time interactions.
• Knowledge of motion design or micro‑interactions to enhance feedback, immersion, and fluidity.
• Familiarity with responsive design for web, mobile, and multi‑device experiences.
• Experience building or contributing to scalable design systems.
