PHP Developer (Remote or Hybrid)

As a PHP Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on both front‑end and server‑side for web‑based applications. The role is remote, but if you’re sick of working from home, we offer a hybrid model as well : )

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, a typical day might include some of the following :

• Working with a team of developers, designers, business analysts and project managers
• Programming web-based applications
• Creating website layouts and user interfaces with HTMP and CSS by working with designers
• Developing back‑end components and connecting applications to other web services
• Reading & commenting on application requirements and specifications
• Working with stakeholders and clients to gather and refine specs based on technical needs
• Developing back‑end portals with optimized databases
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of new features
• Troubleshooting code and application issues
• Updating and altering application features to enhance performance
• Staying on top of emerging technologies and industry best practices and apply them to projects
• Working with the team on estimates
• Managing stakeholder expectations (both team and client)
• Writing technical documentation
• Testing software
