Family Physician - Anesthesia

Job Description

The community of Kindersley, located on the west side of the province of Saskatchewan, is actively recruiting a family medicine physician with enhanced anesthesia skills to support anesthesia needs in Kindersley. In addition to providing 1 - 2 days / week of anesthesia services as a 0.5 FTE, the successful candidate has the opportunity to provide additional services such as community primary health care, inpatient and long-term care, and emergency room. As a member of the surgical services team, the candidate will provide their equitable share of an on-call services for anesthesia services in a 1 : 5 rotation. Candidates will also have the opportunity to mentor medical students training in Kindersley.

Relocation Package

The successful candidate may be eligible for :

• Recruitment and Relocation incentive of $15,000.00 for 3 years return of service to new physicians willing to relocate to Kindersley.
• which provides up to a maximum of $75,000 over three years to family medicine residents, and those pursuing R3 programs who will work full-time in rural, regional, or northern Saskatchewan
• The which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan

Successful Saskatchewan health Authority (SHA) credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
