What We Do
The Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM) Section within the Real Property Asset Management Division leads strategic planning and delivery of facility capital projects across the Region. Our work spans everything from state-of-good-repair upgrades to major new builds, ensuring that Peel’s infrastructure meets the needs of today — and tomorrow.

We partner with internal stakeholders and the Corporate Asset Management (CAM) team to deliver data-driven, forward-thinking capital projects that enhance the quality of life across Peel.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Program Manager, Asset Renewal & Construction, the Project Development Specialist plays an important role in delivering capital construction and SOGR (State of Good Repair) projects throughout the Region.
You’ll provide hands-on support from planning to execution — reviewing technical designs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget. This position works closely with project managers, facility managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure success.
The primary focus of this role is supporting Early Years Child Care (EYCC) capital projects by serving as a Project Monitor responsible for overseeing multiple childcare sites, including certifying payments based on verified progress, monitoring construction activities, preparing reports, tracking schedules, identifying and mitigating project risks, and building strong working relationships with childcare operators, contractors, and other vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Work Mode & Location : Hybrid arrangement with a minimum of two days on-site per week and occasional travel to Regional facilities. This arrangement supports flexibility and is subject to change over time.
