WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Machinist is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, setup, program, and troubleshooting of machining equipment to ensure production requirements at Masco Canada are met. These duties are to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner ensuring quality of the product and production rates are maintained.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Lead and train CNC operators in set-up, troubleshooting and correcting faults
• Program and edit programs on CNC equipment with various controllers
• Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues
• Maintain proper production documentation
• Follow proper setup instructions and procedures (layouts)
• Read and interpret production blueprints
• Use appropriate gauging to produce products to quality standards
• Report quality and / or tooling issues
• Perform repairs on equipment as required
• Ensure product is running at optimum cycle times according to standards
• Actively participate and implement continuous improvement
• Communicate effectively with service technicians as required
