Agilus is recruiting for a Snr Mechanical Engineer in the Utilities Industry in Leduc, Alberta.
Senior Engineer required, System Integrity & Standards This is not a hands on design position. This role will research, write, revise standards and will be creating the system of standards for engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will enjoy this kind of work, collaborating with stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Will have one direct report, an EIT. You do not require management experience, just the aptitude for leadership. Will train including outside courses.
Responsibilities :
- Leading the development and implementation of Risk Assessment processes as described by the Company's Integrity Management Program (IMP);
- leading the development and maintenance of Company engineering standards and procedures and the Company Standard Practice Manual (SPM);
and performing other duties as assigned.
- Preparing quarterly system integrity and asset management reports including risk related concerns
- Preparing and presenting technical reports and complex system analyses and making recommendations based on the results
- Reviewing and analyzing field data related to the IMP with the responsibility of making changes as required for Company Pipeline Systems
- Leading the preparation and development of standardized station & pipeline facilities and new standards for the Company's Standard Practice Manual (SPM) :
- Leading the development and maintenance of design processes and internal engineering group procedures
- Leading the SPM review and revision process annually and directing changes as appropriate
- Recommending approval of all changes to the SPM prior to their inclusion and ensuring compliance
Must have :
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Registration with APEGA as a P.Eng
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Intermediate CAD skills
- Basic assset management and financial services software such as Maximo
- Basic GIS / ESRI knowledge
