Position DescriptionThe Production Director is responsible for all production at Connexus Church. They manage all production systems including audio, video, lighting, cameras, IMAG, LED, online streaming and IT and help innovate and build the culture of the production department at Connexus Church.
This position requires technical excellence and high team leadership skills to equip staff and volunteers across multiple campuses to ensure successful and impactful services and events.
This leader is exceptional at problem solving, quality control systems, people building and forward thinking.Responsibilities Include : Leadership and development of the Production department.
Create and manage budgets for the Production department in consultation with the EDDC.Provide audio, visual, streaming and production support for all Connexus services and events.
Leadership and management of the Production Team - staff, summer students and volunteers.Oversee and manage - rental gear, production supplies, musical inventory, main auditorium and all production areas in all campuses, maintaining all production equipment, network and AVL systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise and keeping the EDDC abreast of any specific concerns or needs related to equipment.
Work with the EDDC and Creative Director in planning services and events and ensure all technical needs for these services and events are met.
Schedule sound, lighting, camera, online and backstage volunteer teams for worship services and events across all locations.
Coordinate skill training activities for team members (i.e. ProPresenter, lighting, sound, etc).Stay informed of the latest trends and technology related to our campus auditoriums, equipment and online systems and serve as our resident expert’.
This includes cameras, IMAG & LED equipment, video, lighting and sound consoles, audio and video recording.Ensure the ProPresenter load for all locations is complete, accurate and tested.
Capture and edit Sunday pre-recorded messages, then post to YouTube.Participate in weekly service meetings to debrief and plan Sunday services.
Management of an LED system for our main stage in each campus and responsible for the equipment maintenance, system updates, weekly programming and volunteer training.
Network with other worship and production directors in our Connexus Network and provide support as required.Support the Creative Director by providing technically support for midweek rehearsals and team nights.
