Caregiving & Routine Support
- Provide nurturing care for children aged 10 months- 36 months old
- Support routines such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping in a responsive and hygienic manner
- Observe and respond to children’s cues
Early Learning & Development
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support :
Cognitive developmentLanguage developmentSocial-emotional growthMotor skillsObservation & Documentation
Observe and document each child’s developmentIdentify and communicate developmental milestones or concernsContribute to portfolios and communicate progress with familiesHealth & Safety
Maintain clean and safe environments in compliance with BC licensing regulationsConduct regular checks on toys, equipment, and the classroomFollow protocols for illness, injuries, and emergency preparednessFamily Communication
Build trusting relationships with parents / guardiansShare updates about the child’s day, development, and routinesOffer support and resources when needed (e.g., transitions, referrals)Team Collaboration
Work with fellow educators to create consistent and supportive environmentsAttend team meetings and contribute to planningPost Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications :
Must have the Early Childhood Education Infant / Toddler Post-Basic Certificate from BC, and the Early Childhood Education Post-Basic (Special Needs Specialization) Certificate
