THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As a Principal Archtitect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the clients’ complex challenges into elegant solutions. That means a collaborative, iterative experience that realizes a collective vision to optimize environments and empower people.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and work with clients across British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and the Western US, in the K-12 education, healthcare, post-secondary education, civic, and commercial sectors.
Responsibilities :
- Design Excellence : Lead the design process and develop architectural concepts that embrace the beauty and uniqueness of Victoria's natural surroundings. Create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions that exceed client expectations.
- Project Management : Oversee all phases of architectural projects, including planning, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including interior designers, engineers, and contractors, to integrate various design disciplines into cohesive and harmonious solutions.
- Client Engagement : Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision and requirements, and translating them into exceptional architectural designs. Provide expert advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentorship and Leadership : Guide and mentor junior architects, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth. Lead by example, promoting a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Architecture, Master's In Architecture and hold a valid license to practice architecture in CanadaAIBC Registered8+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion.Strong portfolio of completed projects that highlight your ability to integrate natural elements, sustainability, and functionality in architectural design.Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes is essential.Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and precise documentation.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
