GPI has an opening for CPA with four or more years of public practice experience.  Preparation of financial statements on the audit, review and compilation basis.  Preparation of corporate, personal and trust income tax returns.  Preparation of Government forms for income tax elections, T slip preparation, GST, PST and Work Safe filings.  Review the work of other staff.  Communication with clients.

Skills and Experience

• Canadian CPA must be legal to work in Canada
• At least four years of public practice experience
• Proficient with CaseWare and CaseView
• Experience in preparing income tax filings for corporations, trusts, individuals and charities
• Experience preparing GST returns, PST returns, T4, T5 slips, WorkSafe
• Ability to work with confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
• Ability to manage audit, review and compilation engagements independently from planning to completion.

Duties would include :

Preparation of audit, review and compilation engagements including required CRA filings.

Review the work of other staff prepared engagement files.

Communicating with clients regarding the engagements

Communicating with staff to ensure their progress

Keeping management informed of the status of engagements to ensure timely completion
