Commercial Manager – Alternative Projects Centre of Expertise (APEX)

What you will do

  • Identify and analyze commercial risks, liabilities and opportunities in proposals, prime agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Provide support in contract negotiation and administration, as well as the preparation of requests for information, white papers and commercial deliverables.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders across various functions, including legal, technical, risk, insurance, bonding and finance.
  • Access confidential information for financial review and planning, including cash flow projections and profitability analyses.
  • Coordinate and participate in commercial meetings with clients.
  • Help with the preparation of contractual summary documents and sensitivity analyses for internal governance processes.
  • Participate in market sounding exercises with clients to help identify preferred commercial approaches for Pomerleau.

This role could be for you if you have

  • Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Marketing, Law, Finance or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of P3, Design‑Build, Collaborative contracts or related experience.
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic environment, interacting with numerous teams and external stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of public procurement processes and policies, as well as qualification/proposal typical requirements.
  • Advanced technical skills in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Good reading comprehension skills, ability to discuss, negotiate and find solutions/alternatives.
