With over 50 facilities and 650 associates, Applied supports a diverse range of industries including steel, mining, forestry, agriculture, automotive, oil and gas, food processing, power generation, pulp and paper, and transportation. The Technical Sales Representative role is intended to develop new business and maintain existing accounts in a consultative manner, supporting engineering, maintenance, and purchasing decision‑makers to achieve superior performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and maintain existing territory.
- Prospect new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product benefits.
- Build strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage business goals, growth strategies, and profit drivers.
- Collaborate with management to develop sales strategies and identify new prospects.
- Respond to customer product inquiries and engage in direct sales activities.
- Promote existing and new products and anticipate client direction and objectives.
- Manage a robust sales territory and maintain cooperative, productive team relationships.
- Attend training and sales meetings as required.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial and agricultural sales.Sales and service oriented with a professional demeanor.Strong organizational skills and ability to prospect for new clients.Proficient in utilizing technology to source components and information.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven ability to meet or beat annual sales goals and deliver growth and profitability.Enthusiastic and eager to contribute to a winning culture.Benefits
