SUMMARY
The Capital Planning Analyst Student provides analytical support that strengthens capital planning decisions. This role manages large, complex data sets, and applies analysis, visualization, and interpretation to generate actionable business insights. A strong commitment to data integrity is essential. All duties are conducted in support of and under the supervision of the Capital Planning Program Manager.

Work Arrangement : hybrid, office in Montreal

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Capital Planning
- Executes capital plan deliverables and is responsible for maintenance of on-going changes to the capital plan and budgets
- Triages and tracks project requests made by the client, facility management, and project management teams
- Identifies and creates projects from building condition assessment data and recommends accurate scopes of work, justifications, and high-level estimates
- Benchmarks project costs against past tenders and project reports (., maintenance, repair, and replacement work) to support accurate capital planning
- Integrates capital plan with other data sources (., roof inspection data, engineering reports
- Produces and maintains the Multi-Year Capital Plan
- Produces and maintains the Annual Capital Plan
- Supports delivering capital plans used to meet KPI’s and contract deliverables
Data Analysis
Responsible for integrity of capital planning data within BGIS’s information systems, including proprietary systemsCompiles and maintains large volumes of capital planning data within information management systems to support various reporting, benchmarking, and analytical requirementsExecutes ad-hoc calculations and analyses based on client requests to assist with business communication and decision-makingMaintains the Asset Management Dashboard and ensures insights remain current and relevantStrategic Asset Management Support
Assists Capital Planning Manager with strategic asset management activitiesConducts integrated working sessions with other work streams to align planning, analysis, and project prioritizationProcess Improvement, Collaboration, and Training
Collaborates in process improvement initiatives and implementationTrains field personnel and system users in the correct operation of business tools, processes, and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned
