Nanny Wanted - In Search Of: Occasional Nanny To Assist In Classroom Setting And At Home

Hello, my name is Claire.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated occasional nanny to work one-on-one with a child with disabilities in a classroom setting and at home. This role is ideal for individuals with a background or training in education, early childhood education, linguistics, speech and language development, occupational therapy, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and at-home support to help the student participate fully in learning activities
• Implement strategies and accommodations as guided by the classroom teacher and support team
• Support communication, social interaction, and classroom routines
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behavior
• Collaborate respectfully with teachers, specialists, and caregivers
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Current or completed coursework in education, early childhood education, linguistics, speech-language pathology, psychology, occupational therapy or a related field

Experience working with children with disabilities or diverse learning needs is strongly preferred

Will need to pass a criminal record back ground check.

Hours

Flexible, but looking for someone to come support our daughter in school 2-3 times a week between 8-11 am and potentially after school.

Opportunity for more hours starting in Fall 2026.

Ideal candidate would be someone who is currently pursuing post-secondary training looking for flexible part time work in their related field.
