General Machinist - Exciting Career Opportunity!

Position Type : Permanent, Full-time

Location : Hamilton, ON

Salary : $26.00 to $30.00 per hour (negotiable)

Hours : 30-40 hours per week (Day shifts, with potential for weekends, overtime, and flexible scheduling)

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to fabricate or repair components with precision
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and repair industrial machinery, including generators, motors, and related equipment
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of machine tools and precision instruments
  • Assemble and fit machine components to exact tolerances
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and reports on completed work
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on various equipment

    • Requirements :

  • Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on machining experience (manual lathe and mill experience required)
  • Skills : Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of machine assembly, repair, and calibration
  • Tools : Must bring your own basic machinist tools (specialized equipment provided by the company)
  • License : Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Security : Must be bondable

  • Work Environment : Fast-paced, physically active role requiring independent work and on-site problem-solving
  • Shifts : Primarily day shifts with flexibility for occasional weekends or overtime based on workload
