General Manager Food and Beverage Outlets

We are seeking a dynamic and resultsdriven General Manager to lead the Jetside Lounge In Room Dining and Banquet operations at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport.  The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue Brand and LQA standards and fostering a luxury service culture. As General Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the hotels Venues by overseeing daytoday operations developing training programs on delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the overall growth of the establishment.

What you will be doing :

Team Leadership and Development :

  • Work in partnership with Jetside In Room Dining and Banquets to execute flawless operation
  • Recruit train and mentor ensuring a positive and motivating work environment ensuring a guestcentric mindset
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Empower and support colleagues to resolve guest issues promptly

Revenue Generation :

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability while collaborating with the marketing team to create promotions and social events
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and strategies to strive to achieve financial budget analyze reports find growth areas optimize sales
  • Implement effective cost control measures of all food beverage labor and operating expenses
  • Leading Quality Assurance Standards :

  • Uphold the highest standards of excellence as set by the Brand and LQA
  • Sustainability Health and Safety Compliance :

  • Actively participate in the Fairmont Sustainability Program Food Safety Committee and determine departmentspecific action items
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff implementing best practices related to food handling sanitation and workplace safety
  • Qualifications :

    Your experience and skills include :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel setting
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities
  • Proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial targets
  • Strong understanding of LQA standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the restaurants operation
  • Ability to work effectively with programs including Microsoft Office Open Table Opera and Silverware
  • Adept at problemsolving decisionmaking and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of the local culinary scene and trends
  • Must possess and maintain valid Serving It Right certification
  • Bachelors degree in hospitality management business or a related field is preferred
