About The Role

Exciting Opportunity : Lab Analyst (Microbiology & Molecular Biology)

Are you a detail-oriented scientist with a passion for microbiology and molecular biology? We’re seeking a Lab Analyst with experience in microbiology and molecular biology to support routine microbial testing of cannabis and related products. This role involves hands‑on laboratory work using plating‑based methods and qPCR assays in a regulated, fast‑paced environment. The position reports to the Lab Manager .

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing samples, media, reagents, calibration standards and Quality Control materials
• Performing microbial testing using plating methods and qPCR assays
• Detecting and enumerating bacteria and fungi
• Interpreting results and ensuring data accuracy and integrity
• Recording results and maintaining documentation in LIMS
• Maintaining Quality Control records and supporting data reviews
• Following SOPs, safety policies, and quality system requirements
• Assisting with method validation, verification, and auditsSupporting ISO 17025 : 2017 accreditation and proficiency testing
• Performing routine equipment operation and maintenance
• Meeting turnaround times and communicating issues to the Lab Manager
