Data Analyst – Remote Our client, a key player in the insurance sector, is focused on advancing their data capabilities to stay ahead in the evolving retirement services landscape. They are looking for a Data Analyst to play a crucial role in optimizing data-driven strategies and enhancing reporting within their Group Retirement Services unit.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver suitable analytical solutions.
  • Enhance existing reports using modern tools and data practices.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement solutions to automate, consolidate, or discontinue processes, focusing on business value and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain robust documentation for all analytical products.
  • Manage multiple data analytics and automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, data security, and company policies, including the SLF Code of Business Conduct and End User Computing requirements.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Undergraduate in Business, Statistics, Computer Science (or equivalent university degree or college diploma).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for developing analytical solutions.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Visual Basic.
  • Proven ability to drive large and strategic projects from concept to implementation that span multiple systems and business processes.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, best practices, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive a data-driven culture and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Superior organizational skills, including process management to support workflow improvements.
  • Past experience in life insurance / wealth management, or other financial services industry is an asset (, retail banking, credit card, property and casualty insurance).
  • Experience with AWS and automation of recurring reporting tasks is critical.
