We are currently recruiting for a full-time Automotive Installer to join our upfitting team at MTC!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installing all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles. This includes routing and installing wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
• Installation and commissioning of various types of vehicle systems
• Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment
• System diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
• Installation and removal of all equipment on emergency vehicles, reinstalling interior trim, retrofitting and upgrading
• Develop wiring routes throughout the vehicle for the most efficient wiring path and enable future replacement and / or troubleshooting
• Work with customer and fleets on site
