About the Role

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist to join our Housing Team. Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties.

What You Will Do:

• Semen Collection
• Feeding and caring for bulls
• Operating farm equipment
• Seasonal crop work
• Mechanical and manual barn cleaning

What You Need to Succeed:

• Ability and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• A high school diploma
• A valid drivers license
• Strong agricultural experience including handling and caring for livestock

Work Location and Minimum Pay Rate:

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Guelph location. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with rotating weekends on a 6 month contract. This position offers a minimum starting hourly wage of $21.00 with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
