The Recreation Department promotes and contributes to a healthy community and enhances the quality of life for Penticton residents and visitors through planning management and delivery of recreation sports events and active living opportunities.
Reporting to the Recreation Business Supervisor the Recreation Coordinators role supports the Citys strategic direction in recreation and sport programming. The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for bookings and coordination of programs at various indoor and outdoor City facilities including McLaren Arena and outdoor sport fields. This role is part of the Recreation Department team responsible for delivery of recreation sport events and active living opportunities.

We are looking for a dynamic people-focused individual for the position of Manager Parks and Forestry. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully fostering strong working relationships with community partners including First Nations other municipalities and all levels of government agencies while implementing and monitoring the Municipalitys objectives as outlined in Councils Strategic Plan and the Parks and Trails Master Plan. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in parks operations and community engagement and who can also provide oversight of forestry-related activities within the Municipal Forest Reserve.
Reporting to the Director Parks and Recreation this position will require considerable experience providing overall leadership for the development and implementation of improved policies measures and programs for a municipal Parks and Forestry Department. Effective collaboration with senior management is required and is expected to provide subject matter expertise on all horticultural matters. The Director of Parks and Recreation maintains the title and authority of Municipal Forester for the organization and will provide oversight of professional forestry-related activities and decisions ensuring alignment with municipal goals and regulatory requirements.
Key areas of focus for the position will be the planning operation maintenance permitting and public use programming of the following North Cowichan public spaces while identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to prevent or minimize environmental impacts :

About the role
The Merchandising Manager Platform & Sports will be a key member of Rokus International Merchandising team. Ideally this person is passionate about movies TV and sports! In this role you will help develop execute and drive content merchandising and editorial curation across Canada and other international markets including Roku Platform experiences such as What to Watch Featured Experiences and Sports.
Ideal candidates are strongly analytical innovative and creative problem solvers with excellent project management interpersonal and communication skillscritical to working successfully across multiple time zones. Must love working with movies TV series sports and other content types to meaningfully contribute to our overall strategy and roadmapincluding the development of new concepts in merchandising product & feature launches content verticals and tooling.
Must have experience working with content management systems (CMS) and have a foundational understanding of the Canadian and international content ecosystem inclusive of Canadas sports landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of Sports leagues and their local and / or global broadcast rights. This role will be based in Toronto and report to the International Merchandising Lead.
