Fiera Comox is looking for the next Senior Analyst, Finance and Administration to join their team. POSITION SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of your responsibilities, you will be assigned the following duties :

  • Analysis and review of investment documentation to ensure accurate accounting of investments and investment-related activities for the Funds of the investment strategies
  • Coordinate and oversee the investment accounting, operating and investor capital activities prepared and performed by the fund administrators
  • Analysis and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements and investor reporting for the Funds of the investment strategies
  • Preparation of complete annual financial statements and related notes to the financials for the Funds
  • Analysis and review of the management and performance fees
  • Coordination of the external annual audit
  • Analysis and review of monthly accounting close processes of the monthly operating activities to ensure accurate accounting records
  • Coordination of the tax returns and sales tax returns with the external tax advisors, preparation of the supporting documentation and review of the returns
  • Develop and participate in the documentation, implementation and maintenance of adequate and effective internal controls and procedures
  • Take on many different roles and tasks to support the growth of the business

    • EDUCATION / ACCREDITATION

  • Undergraduate in Business Administration or Accounting
  • CPA designation is required

    • EXPERIENCE AND SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • 5 years of experience in private market fund and direct investments accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Bilingualism required (fluency in French and English)
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to a wide range of roles
