Position Overview
Responsible and accountable to the Manager of Professional Practice for the provision of outpatient hand therapy in a fast‑paced, high‑volume hospital clinic setting. This position is responsible for all aspects of care delivery, education, program development, and quality of service.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited university program in OT/PT
- Masters in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy or equivalent required
- License to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists of Ontario required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent related experience with acute hand injuries, both surgical and non‑surgical
- Skilled in the management of hand injuries/conditions, both surgical and non‑surgical
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume clinic environment
- Ability to work in a hand therapy model of care environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to participate/lead health service councils and task groups
- Motivation to practice in accordance with the mission and vision of the hospital/health service
- Good work and attendance record
