  • Conduct comprehensive safety orientation for all new and existing staff, covering company safety policies, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition.
  • Participate in and sometimes lead regular toolbox meetings on site, facilitating discussions on job‑specific hazards and reinforcing safe work practices.
  • Coordinate external training providers and track employee certification renewals.
  • Update and test emergency response plans, coordinate drills (fire, evacuation, spill response) and maintain related documentation.
  • Act as primary contact for regulatory inspections, external auditors, WorkSafeBC adjusters and third‑party consultants; coordinate corrective‑action plans as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Diploma / degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related discipline.
  • Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent
  • Valid Standard First Aid / CPR “C” with AED.
