Project Manager Electrical Utilities

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the engineering and design of overhead & underground transmission / distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations. Our expertise allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

Phasor is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Substations team in our Calgary office. Reporting to the Project Management Office, the Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project. Including, project planning, execution, communication, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling. The candidate will manage projects from start to finish and ensure timely execution, coordination with various teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The primary responsibilities of the Project Engineer typically include :

• Project Planning : Develop a detailed project plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Technical Support : Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Coordination : Coordinate with various teams, including design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning teams, to ensure project goals are met.
• Quality Control : Ensure the project adheres to quality standards and regulations.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Communication : Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Problem-solving : Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during the project.
• Other duties as requested and assigned.
