The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids (GH-CCMH) is a child and youth mental health center integrated with GH-CCMH is also a member of the Thriving Minds Mental Health Access Collaborative with CAMH and SickKids and a core service provider in the Toronto sector of infant, child and youth mental health services funded by the Ministry of Health. GH-CCMH provides prevention, early intervention and health promotion services across the city, funded by MOH and other sources. As such, the Center has an ambitious agenda to provide the highest quality, evidence-based care, offering a range of services from prevention and early intervention to counseling and therapy, assessment and intensive supports. Services are offered in person and in virtual format. We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time contract 1.0 FTE Program Psychologist. This position will be based in our Intensive Service for Children at the Sheppard site. This position involves working with children, ages 6-13 and their families who have a range of complex mental health, behavioural and learning challenges. The successful candidate will work closely within an interprofessional team comprised of Child and Family Therapists, a consulting Psychiatrist, as well as a consulting Occupational Therapist, Child and Youth Care Practitioners, and Teachers to provide psychological services. The Psychologist will be expected to provide clinical leadership and support to Intensive Services for Children, particularly with respect to assessment, case formulation, consultation, treatment planning and intervention.
This position reports to the Senior Clinical Manager of Intensive Services for Children and, for practice related issues, reports to the Advanced Practice Lead for Psychology.
