Job Overview
You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for planning and executing mechanical testing activities for advanced space robotics hardware. Your work will contribute directly to a high‑visibility program entering a critical design and validation phase.
Mechanical Testing Engineer – Robotics & Space
Brampton, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
40 hours / week | Full‑time Contract | Start : ASAP
Must be eligible for CGP (Controlled Goods Program) clearance.
Must be eligible for Reliability Security Clearance .
What You’ll Do
- Develop, design, and implement mechanical test plans, methodologies, and procedures.
- Lead vibration, shock, and dynamic behavior test campaigns, including reviewing test plans, data acquisition, and generating reports.
- Perform functional, performance, and quality testing to identify defects and system issues.
- Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and document findings in engineering tracking tools.
- Provide clear feedback to design, development, and cross‑functional teams.
- Create and maintain test environments, maintenance procedures, and continuous improvements for testing processes.
- Contribute to documentation including test plans, test reports, procedures, and results summaries.
Must‑Have Qualifications
5 + years of experience writing test plans and detailed test reports.Hands‑on experience executing mechanical tests.Experience with thermal and vibration testing.Solid troubleshooting abilities in a technical environment.Nice to Have
TVAC (Thermal Vacuum) testing experience.Prior experience in the space industry or aerospace component testing.Soft Skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality in test execution.
