Manager - Software Engineering (Salesforce)

S.i. Systems client is looking for Manager - Software Engineering (Salesforce)

Permanent role - Ideal candidate local in Burnaby, BC for 3 days / week onsite, open to remote candidates across Canada. Salary range : $K to $K

MUST HAVES :

• 5+ years developing software in a variety of environments with a focus on Salesforce
• 1+ years of Personnel management
• 3+ years of Technical Team Leadership
• 3+ years of Agile development
• Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline

RESPONSIBILITIES :

 Deliver high quality software efficiently

 Provide technical and personnel leadership

 Write high quality, testable and easily maintainable code in a variety of languages (APEX / SOQL, Java, SQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS)

 Perform code reviews and provide feedback to team members

 Perform systems maintenance tasks.

 Lead and mentor team members in technical and procedural aspects of software development

 Work with Product Management to turn high-level business requirements into technical tasks and to provide estimates for implementaiton

 Ensure product quality and reliability in production environments

 Lead Software Development activities in an Agile workflow with Scrum, backlog grooming, retrospectives

 Stay up to date on technical functionality, new releases and features that are both part of the platform and larger ecosystem. Identify and define opportunities to leverage those technologies for the betterment of software products and the business

 Work regular business hours remotely or onsite in Burnaby, BC

 Manage on-call after hours support as required and be available for critical production support incidents

 Establish performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews with all team members

 Provide career management of all employees on the team

 Perform other HR and Financial processes as required

 Lifting moderately weighted computer equipment and peripherals from time to time
