The Opportunity :

In collaboration with PeelCAS, we are seeking a Registered Psychotherapist or Social worker, with experience providing assessment and counselling services for school-aged children & youth (6 to 18 years old).

Key Responsibilities :

Support referrals from PeelCAS, in person from a private practice in Peel Region or a TELUS Health office in Brampton or Mississauga, Ontario,

Provide assessments & counselling to pediatric clients & their families dealing with complex life challenges including mental health, addictions, social exclusion, and involvement with the justice system

Use evidence-based techniques and interventions to help clients overcome emotional and behavioral challenges.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on the needs of each client.

Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the clients receive the best possible care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sessions, treatment plans, and progress reports.

Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice.

Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Meet with an external supervisor to ensure ethical practice and quality client care.

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

Registered with CRPO or OCSWSSW.

Trained & certified in Play Therapy, registration with CAPT considered an asset

Knowledge of evidence-based techniques and interventions for children and teenagers.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.

Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Private practice located in Peel Region or ability to travel to Brampton or Mississauga.

Minimum of 4 hours / week of availability for direct client sessions
