IT Service Technician

Salary : $80,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements :

• Extensive experience in hardware (mandatory)
• Profound knowledge of laptop and workstation components
• Understanding of CPUs, chipsets, memory types, and GPUs
• Proficient in diagnosing and fixing hardware failures
• Experience building servers and virtualization hosts
• Knowledge of macOS and iOS hardware
• Ability to repair and deploy Apple devices
• Familiar with Apple IDs, Apple Business Manager, and MDM
• Expertise in Microsoft 365 user management
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server systems
• Basic Linux knowledge is a bonus
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals including IP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, and HTTP / HTTPS
• Experience with switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and access points
• Familiarity with laser / inkjet printers and Android / iOS phone troubleshooting
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing demeanor
• Comfort working onsite at client locations
• Valid drivers license for local travel
• Strong written communication skills for ticket documentation

Responsibilities :

Begin the day by organizing and maintaining the service bench

Ensure the bench is fully stocked and orderly

Manage repairs and deployments of laptops and workstations, both in bulk and individually

Construct and repair servers, virtualization hosts, and storage solutions

Prepare systems for client staging and deploy them onsite as needed

Address helpdesk tickets when the bench has downtime

Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and general network issues

Stay in touch with clients until all issues are completely resolved

Install and troubleshoot software as necessary

Accurately document all work performed

Properly update and close all tickets while ensuring comprehensive follow-ups
