Make an impact within our Indigenous EASE Services team as a Designated Professional in one of our BC office locations. This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients’ unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in Canada. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of full cycle accounting operations, including financial transactions and reporting
  • Collaborate with clients, internal team members and relationship managers to ensure high-quality Indigenous EASE engagements
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting, including compliance with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, including variance reports
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and publish timely, accurate and compliant financial statements and Indigenous EASE related reports
  • Assist with new EASE engagements by providing the required information for client setup and deliverable creation
  • Maintain and update charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Maintain flexibility to travel to client sites

Skills and Experience

  • CPA designation (CAFM designation considered an asset)
  • Experience working with full-cycle accounting processes
  • Knowledge of Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Adagio, Xyntax, QBO or Xero considered an asset
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
